Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dang Ninh, and Director of the provincial Party Committee’s Department of Information and Education Nguyen Van Toan praised the two agencies for their good performance in the information work in recent years.

Their reporting has followed the province’s political task and orientations, and complied with the Press Law, they said.

The officials added that the two agencies also paid due attention to renovating the forms and content of coverage, increasing the volume and improving the quality of information products, importantly contributing to socio-economic development, the building of Party and political system, and defence-security in the locality.

The officials also pointed out shortcomings in the sector, including the small number of press works countering and denouncing sabotage attempts of hostile forces and the poor coverage of the locality’s tourism and history. They noted that media agencies are facing obstacles in assessing information of management agencies.

In his conclusion, Secretary Bui Van Tinh asked the local departments and administrations to pay attention to the provision of information to the media and facilitation of reporting work in line with regulations.

He requested organisations, agencies and local authorities in the province to foster cooperation with media agencies, especially those in central level, in providing and collecting information.

In particular, the Hoa Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and TV need to attach important to the timely coverage of activities by the leadership of Party Committees and Party organisations at provincial and district levels, as well as issues of great concern in the province.

The provincial Party Committee’s office was assigned to be responsible for providing information for press agencies.

The provincial Party Committee’s Department of Information and Education will be responsible for giving consultation for the building and issuance of the conclusion of the provincial Party Committee’s standing board on promoting the Party’s leadership over activities of local press agencies./.
