(HBO) – President Ho Chi Minh used to say that: "Emulation is patriotic, patriots must emulate, those who emulate are the most ardent patriots.” Following the late leader’s teaching, Ky Son district of Hoa Binh province has promoted the patriotic emulation movement in a practical manner, thus receiving a warm response from local officials, civil servants, labourers and people.
Staff of the
Public Administrative Centre of Ky Son district have improved the reception and
handling of administrative procedures for local people and organisations.
In
agro-forestry-fishery production, farmers across the district have stepped up
intensive farming, production and business activities, and restructuring of
crop and animal husbandry to develop advantageous products. Responding to
emulation movements, they have enhanced the application of science and
technology in agricultural production and sought new ways to raise
productivity, output, and product quality and value.
Meanwhile, emulation movements associated with
the building of new-style rural areas have expanded strongly, attracting the
participation of local officials, Party members, people and other social
forces. One of the typical examples is the drive to donate land, labour and
construction materials for the construction of rural infrastructure facilities.
Residential areas have emulated one another in
building civilized hamlets and villages with good security and order.
Meanwhile, each family has made efforts to ensure clean homes, beautiful
gardens, healthy environment and civilized hamlets meeting new-style rural area
building standards.
Many role models in building new-style
countryside have been popularized and multiplied, thus contributing to the
successful implementation of political and socio-economic development tasks and
accelerating new-style rural area building. In Ky Son district, four communes
have fulfilled all 19 new-style countryside building criteria, one commune
meeting 15 criteria, and four communes meeting from 10 to 14 criteria.
Administrative reforms have also been enhanced
so as to strongly improve the work performance and attitude while serving
people of officials, civil servants and public employees. The emulation
campaign in this field has also helped increase the local State apparatus’s
management efficiency towards satisfying people and businesses. In 2017, Ky Son
took the lead in the administrative reform index among the district-level
localities of Hoa Binh province, up two places from the previous year. Hop
Thinh and Yen Quang communes and Ky Son town are outstanding examples of
administrative reforms in the district.
In 2017, local per capita income reached 47.5
million VND (over 2,000 USD), surpassing the set target by 2.5 million VND.
Nearly 56.47 billion VND (2.5 million USD) was collected for the State budget,
up 53.4 percent from the planned revenue. While the household poverty rate
decreased to 6.24 percent, the rate of near-poor families fell to 4.44
percent./.
Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, on May 14 chaired a meeting of the provincial steering committee for its programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for the poor. The session reviewed the programme’s outcomes to date and discussed forthcoming tasks.
