The conference was organised in celebration of the 128th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, and the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation.

The conference was attended by Politburo members: Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and head of the PCC Communication and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong; Secretary of the PCC and head of PCC Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh; and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai.

In his speech, Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and head of the PCC Communication and Education Commission, Vo Van Thuong, said that the implementation of the directive has been further integrated with the implementation of political tasks, the Party building work, and other movements in local agencies and units—both at home and abroad.

More advanced models and new methods of implementation fitted with mass movements at the grassroots level, he added.

Speaking at the conference, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong suggested that local authorities should clearly define the responsibilities in directing and organising the implementation of the directive and including it in the development programmes of local Party committees.
