(HBO) – The Hoa Binh Radio & Television held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th founding anniversary (1958 – 2018), which was attended by Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Thanh Luong, Vice Director General of the Vietnam Television (VTV).

During its development history spanning six decades, especially
after its re-establishment nearly 30 years ago, the Hoa Binh Radio & Television has built
its own modern infrastructure and equipment. Since 2011, all local television
programmes have been broadcasted via the satellite Vinasat-1, reaching
audiences nationwide, marking a shift in both quantitative and qualitative
terms in the station’ operation. Now these programmes can be watched online
anywhere and anytime.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the provincial Party
Committee Bui Van Tinh and VTV Vice Director General Nguyen Thanh Luong praised the broadcaster for its achievements in
the past years. They requested it to continue foster professional ethics and
skills for reporters and other staffers, and invest in infrastructure to realise
the Government’s roadmap for digitisation toward 2020 and the province’s development
master plan of the mass media for 2018 – 2020 with a vision toward 2025. The
officials also urged the Hoa Binh Radio & Television to further reform and
improve quality and quantity of programmes, and add more programmes in ethnic
languages.
On the occasion, Secretary Bui Van Tinh handed over to the
broadcaster a flag from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council,
People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Central Committee. The flag bears the
words "The Hoa Binh Radio & Television – 60 years of construction and
development 1958 – 2018”. The VTV representative, meanwhile, presented the
medal "For the Cause of Radio-Television” to several individuals with
outstanding contributions to Hoa Binh’s broadcasting sector.
The 17th-tenure Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee recently convened its 20th meeting. The session was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Thi Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council; and Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee. Also in attendance were other members of the provincial Party Committee and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.
A delegation of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam led by Ambasador Sandeep Arya paid a working trip to Hoa Binh province on April 1, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities. The delegation was received by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, along with Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from various departments and agencies.
A delegation from the Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee led by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, on March 20 inspected the progress of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project in Mai Chau district.
