The Offices of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee signed a cooperation agreement for the 2017-2020 period in Hanoi on August 21.

The deal
was inked after the talks between Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and
head of the CPV Central Committee Office Nguyen Van Nen and Politburo member,
head of the LPRP Central Committee Office Khamphanh Phommathat.
The
officials informed each other about the situation of their respective
Parties, countries and offices in the recent time and discussed cooperation
between the two offices in the time ahead.
Following
the talks, the directors of the offices’ archives departments also signed a
plan to carry out the cooperation programme on records management, archives
and library from now to 2020.
The
delegation of the LPRP Central Committee Office has been on a working visit
to Vietnam from August 20-24.
