(HBO) - On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor's Day (February 27), member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh visited and presented flowers to staff at the provincial Health Department, General Hospital, and Committee for Health Protection and Care for Officials on February 27 morning.


On behalf of the provincial authorities, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh lauded efforts by the medical staff of the provincial health sector over the past years, saying that it has reaped outstanding achievements. Target health programmes fulfilled and surpassed set goals. A number of community-based health care models have proved effective. Technological advances have been adopted in health care and treatment. Infrastructure and behaviors of medical staff have improved, resulting in better health services at the grassroots levels. These outcomes have contributed to local socio-economic development and successfully realising the Resolution adopted by the 16th provincial Party Congress.

Extending congratulations to local medical staff on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor's Day, the provincial Party leader asked the local Health Department and its units to closely perform political tasks, effectively realise set working programmes, follow 12 medical ethics, raise sense of responsibility and improve behaviors of staff. They were urged to continue upgrading infrastructure and equipment, study new management mechanism, pay attention to personnel training, and streamline apparatus to improve public health care, especially for ex-revolutionaries and social welfare beneficiaries.

They should actively prevent epidemics and natural disasters as well as improve the monitory quality to promptly discover and effectively fight epidemics, he said.
