(HBO) - The organising board of a quiz on sovereignty and sustainable development of Vietnam’s sea and islands sovereignty in 2019 in the northern mountainous region recently held a meeting to prepare for the event in the northwestern province of Hoa Binh.

The quiz on the sovereignty and sustainable development of Vietnam’s sea and islands this year for the northern mountainous area and neighbouring localities will be held in Hoa Binh city by the Ministry of Information and Communication and Hoa Binh province.

Under the theme "Disseminating sovereignty protection and sustainable development of Vietnam’s sea and islands”, the event draws the participation from 14 provinces in the northern mountainous region, namely Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen and host Hoa Binh.

It is slated for August this year, comprising of various activities such as mobile dissemination events, a photo exhibition, a procession and a sub-contest for announcers.

Performances to be staged during the quiz will focus on the policies and regulations of the Party, the State and local authorities on issues of the country’s sea and islands sovereignty, historical evidence affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos, along with Vietnam’s international cooperation on sea, islands, climate, and commitments and actions amid climate change./.
