(HBO) - Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, on June 11 had a working session with the Standing Board of Da Bac district’s Party Committee on the implementation of the Resolution adopted at the 24th congress of the district Party Committee (2015-2020 tenure), local socio-economic development in the first six months of this year and major tasks set for the second half.

Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, speaks at the working session with the Standing Board of Da Bac district’s Party Committee.

After two years of implementing the resolution, Da Bac has fulfilled 18 out of 21 targets set at the resolution. The three remaining targets include new-style rural area building and the numbers of businesses and cooperatives with effective operation and ethnic minority students at the district’s ethnic minority boarding school.

During the first two quarters of this year, local production value grew 5.62 percent, up 5 percent year-on-year. The economic structure continued to shift towards agriculture, forestry and fishery (42.5 percent), and trade and services (41.3 percent).

Tinh urged Da Bac to show its aspirations for development with high political resolve, devise specific plans and take drastic actions in management and organisation in order to create socio-economic breakthroughs.

The district needs to identify its potential and strength, set forth aquaculture development planning schemes, combine agricultural production with consumption and attract investments in quality tourism services.

To complete tough tasks, Da Bac should assign agencies, organisations and local authorities specific targets, he said, asking the district to closely coordinate with investors to promptly complete the road 433 project in 2019 and take the initiative in natural disaster prevention and control./.
