As of June 2019, the district met and surpassed 11 out of 16 the targets, including seven out of the eight economic targets, four out of the seven social targets, and exceeded targets mentioned in the resolution. At present, the district needs to strive to fulfill five targets, including shift to new economic structure, new admission to the Party, the rate of schools meeting national standards, the rate of skilled workers, and the rate of residential areas meeting cultural standards.
During the first half of this year, further attention was paid to Party and political system building work. Agricultural production expanded while the output of several crops rose over the same period last year. Communes met 13.42 criteria on average. The State budget revenue was equivalent to 57.8 percent of the projection. The rate of health insurance participants reached 93.1 percent while all hamlets and residential areas collected garbage.

Authorities of Yen Thuy district suggested the province devise a master plan on local land use to add revenue to the State budget, especially land by equitised firms.
Concluding the event, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee said Yen Thuy district has fostered unity in its Party unit. The people were quick in the shift to new economic structure with quality agricultural models and products.
In the near future, the standing board will review socio-economic targets, especially difficult ones, adopt specific measures based on assigning officials in the board to direct activities with high political determination and sense of responsibility, thus exerting the best efforts to fulfill targets set by the Congress. Apart from directing immediate tasks, the district needs to work out tasks for the next period./.
