(HBO) – The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province held its regular meeting on June 26 to discuss draft reports reviewing the five-year implementation of Resolutions No.10, 11, 12 dated June 13, 2014 of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and other important draft reports. Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang chaired the meeting.

Implementing the Resolution No.10- NQ/TU on the development of cultivation products in Hoa Binh for the 2014 – 2020 period, the provincial People’s Committee issued policies to realise the resolution. As of May 2019, the total area of citrus cultivation exceeded 10,200ha, 5,200ha higher than the target set in the resolution till 2020 and up 7,300ha from 2014. With an average of 11,000 – 12,000ha of vegetables each year, the total vegetable farming area in the province reached12,440ha in 2018.

Over the past five years of implementing the Resolution No.11-NQ/TU on the development of traditional handicrafts and craft villages in Hoa Binh till 2020, the production value of craft products has increased. The province has recognised 11 traditional craft villages with diverse products of different kinds and designs, helping to change the structure of labour, agriculture and rural development-based economy.

Thanks to the Resolution No.12-NQ/TU on the development of caged fish farming in Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir for the 2014 – 2020 period, a range of incentives were issued, encouraging the rapid development of caged fish farming. There are over 4,250 cages at present, up 1,933 from 2015 and 750 higher than the resolution’s goal till 2020. Of them, 2,602 fish cages have been supported under the resolution.

Concluding the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang asked departments and agencies to listen to public feedback and aspirations, especially regarding the merging and naming of villages and communes. In the near future, further attention must be paid to holding the national high school graduation examination in a strict, safe and quality manner./.
