(HBO) - The 18th congress of the Standing Board of the 16th tenure Party Committee of Hoa Binh province wrapped up on July 10 after one and a half day of working, successfully completing the set working agenda.

Delegates agreed that draft reports and conclusions had been prepared thoroughly, basically meeting requirements.

For the report reviewing the implementation of tasks in the first half of 2019, and tasks and measures for the second half, the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board affirmed that the province gained numerous important achievements thanks to joint efforts of the Party Committee, authorities and people. 

The Party building was renovated; the local economy reported positive growth, at 8.07 percent; and production values of the agro-fishery-forestry, industry and services all increased against the same period last year. The new-style rural building work saw positive results; socio-culture, health care, science and technology and labour fields received attention; social welfare and defence security was ensured; and external affairs were expanded.

The congress introduced additional members to the Party Committee’s Standing Board in the 2015-2020 tenure. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh was elected Vice Secretary of the Party Committee in the 2015-2020 tenure, with 100 percent of "yes” votes. The congress also agreed to submit to the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat for the approval of the election result, and introduce Khanh as a candidate for the post of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in the 2016-2021 tenure.

Speaking at the congress, Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, asked the provincial Party Committee to continue promoting the strength of national great unity, and actively direct the implementation of political missions.

Members of the Party Committee’s Standing Board were requested to uphold their sense of responsibility to work together with other members of the Party Committee to fulfill all set tasks.
