(HBO) – Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party’s Committee Ngo Van Tuan had a working session with leaders of the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park’s management board led by acting director Luu Hoang Long on August 21.

The event saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Dung and leaders of the local departments and agencies.

According to the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park’s management board, the park abuts Hoa Binh province so if the two sides cooperate, it will be fruitful cooperation, particularly in attracting investors in support industries for companies based in the park.

The management board wished to explore about the province’s strengths and potential to lure suitable investors. It also wanted to act as a bridge for businesses in Hoa Binh to supply goods and services for those in the park and help the province seek opportunities for technological transfer.

It moved on to ask the provincial authorities to cooperate in investment promotion in Japan and consider joining a coordination programme between the park, the provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Vice Secretary Tuan, for his part, welcomed the management board’s proposal, saying that the province wishes to form an effective and long-term cooperation with the park.

He gave his guests a brief overview of the province’s socio-economic situation as well as investment plans and policies. Hoa Binh stands ready to facilitate projects in support industries, tourism and agriculture that suit the province’s planning and goals towards sustainable economic development, Tuan said.

The province wants to foster an effective partnership with the park’s management board in the coming time, he added.

He assigned the province’s departments of Science and Technology, and Planning and Investment, and industrial parks’ management board to discuss with the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park and advise the provincial People’s Committee on the signing of the cooperation agreement.

The departments are also asked to prepare all neccessary conditions to invite investors./.
