(HBO) – A delegation of the Lao province of Houaphanh led by Khamphiu Vongsavan, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Lao Front for National Construction Committee of the province, offered Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the Party organisation, administration and people of Hoa Binh province during a visit to the northern locality of Vietnam on January 9.

Welcoming the Lao delegation were Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; along with some other provincial officials.

At the reception, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee Bui Van Tinh informed his guests about the local socio-economic development in 2019. He recalled the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between the two provinces, asking for the acceleration of a project on restoring the relic site of Laos’ revolution in Hoa Binh and the building of a high school in Hua Muang district of Houaphanh.

He expressed his hope that under the leadership of the Hoa Binh and Houaphanh Party committees, the special traditional friendship and all-round ties between the two provinces will be upheld and become fruitful in various fields.

Speaking highly of Hoa Binh’s development, Khamphiu Vongsavan appreciated Hoa Binh’s special assistance for his province, calling for more practical and effective support in different fields from Hoa Binh.

On behalf of leaders and people of Houaphanh, he offered the best wishes to leaders, armed forces and people of Hoa Binh. The official said he believes in 2020 and the following years, the Vietnamese province will continue harvesting great successes in socio-economic development.

For his part, Tinh also voiced his belief that the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Hoa Binh and Houaphanh will be sustainable forever./.
