(HBO) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hoa Binh province, 15th tenure (2019-2024), organised its second conference on January 7.

Head of the provincial Party Committee’s mass mobilisation board and chairwoman of the provincial VFF Committee Nguyen Thi Oanh presents emulation flag to the VFF chapter of Lac Thuy district.

Last year, the VFF committees at all levels continued to renew their operation while closely following the Party’s direction, the province’s socio-economic and defence-security targets and the VFF’s resolutions and action programmes to set specific tasks and measures with clear priorities and focus.

Emulation campaigns launched by the provincial VFF committee were carried out widely and brought about practical results. Particularly, they received warm response from Party committees at all levels, local authorities and people from all walks of life.

The provincial VFF committee also achieved positive results in the supervision and social criticism work, contributing to building a stronger and purer Party and administration.

In the year, VFF chapters at all levels organised 187 inspections in different forms, mobilised 14 billion VND for the "For the Poor” fund, as well as built and repaired 243 houses for the impoverished.

Participants at the conference pointed out shortcomings of the local VFF activities in 2019, and discussed action plan for 2020 with six key contents and five programmes and solutions.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh informed the conference on the province’s socio-economic and defence-security situation in 2019, and highlighted key missions for 2020.

He hoped that the VFF committees at all levels will continue their efforts to realise set targets for this year, thus promoting the local socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dang Ninh hailed the performance of VFF chapters at all levels and VFF member organisations, stressing it is necessary to strengthen the national solidarity bloc to achieve the set targets and missions.

He urged the VFF chapters to strictly follow the Politburo’s Directive No.05, and continue to work to raise public awareness of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws and policies.

In the immediate future, priority must be given to ensuring a safe Lunar New Year (Tet), implementing the National Assembly Standing Committee’s resolution on merger of some communes and districts, giving opinions to draft documents of Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress, and commending excellent individuals and organisations./.
