(HBO) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hoa Binh province, 15th tenure (2019-2024), organised its second conference on January 7.
Head of the
provincial Party Committee’s mass mobilisation board and chairwoman of the
provincial VFF Committee Nguyen Thi Oanh presents emulation flag to the VFF
chapter of Lac Thuy district.
Last year, the VFF committees at all levels continued to renew their operation
while closely following the Party’s direction, the province’s socio-economic
and defence-security targets and the VFF’s resolutions and action programmes to
set specific tasks and measures with clear priorities and focus.
Emulation campaigns launched by the provincial VFF committee were carried out
widely and brought about practical results. Particularly, they received warm
response from Party committees at all levels, local authorities and people from
all walks of life.
The provincial VFF committee also achieved positive results in the supervision and
social criticism work, contributing to building a stronger and purer Party and
administration.
In the year, VFF chapters at all levels organised 187 inspections in different
forms, mobilised 14 billion VND for the "For the Poor” fund, as well as built
and repaired 243 houses for the impoverished.
Participants at the conference pointed out shortcomings of the local VFF
activities in 2019, and discussed action plan for 2020 with six key contents
and five programmes and solutions.
Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh informed the conference on the
province’s socio-economic and defence-security situation in 2019, and
highlighted key missions for 2020.
He hoped that the VFF committees at all levels will continue their efforts to realise
set targets for this year, thus promoting the local socio-economic development.
Meanwhile, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran
Dang Ninh hailed the performance of VFF chapters at all levels and VFF member
organisations, stressing it is necessary to strengthen the national solidarity
bloc to achieve the set targets and missions.
He urged the VFF chapters to strictly follow the Politburo’s Directive No.05,
and continue to work to raise public awareness of the Party’s guidelines and
the State’s laws and policies.
In the immediate future, priority must be given to ensuring a safe Lunar New
Year (Tet), implementing the National Assembly Standing Committee’s resolution
on merger of some communes and districts, giving opinions to draft documents of
Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party
Congress, and commending excellent individuals and organisations./.
Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
