The fourth Vietnam-Cambodia people cooperation and friendship meeting programme opened in Ho Chi Minh City on September 7.


Vietnam-Cambodia exchange programme opens

The event is part of a range ofactivities that are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia, was co-hosted by, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).

The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association Vu Mao, head of the Vietnamese delegation; Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An, who is also President of the Cambodian-Vietnamese Friendship Association, Head of the Cambodian People’s Delegation; together with representatives from central agencies, ministries, and localities of the two countries.

The event which takes place from October 7-12, will consist of cultural exchanges; a meeting to share experiences between the two countries' friendship organisations and review the two years of implementation of the cooperation agreement between the two countries' friendship associations; among others.

The programme is an event is of significance, affirming the fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries
