(HBO) – From March 23 to April 15, a large number of collectives and individuals made donations to the fight against COVID-19 in response to the appeal by the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and the Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial VFF Committee.

from the Business Association of Hoa Binh province.
As of 4pm of April 15, the province had raised
more than 959.66 million VND (40,900 USD) in cash and goods worth 853.17
million VND.
At the provincial level, 53 collectives and
individuals contributed a total of over 534 million VND in cash, while five
businesses supported the disease prevention and control efforts with 56,000
face masks and 90 boxes of instant noodle. The total assistance was valued at
565 million VND.
At the district level, philanthropists donated
425.65 million VND in cash and 288.17 million VND in kind. Outstanding localities
in the support mobilisation drive include Hoa Binh city and Luong Son and Yen
Thuy districts.
Thanks to the assistance, authorities have
distributed 45,500 face masks to the forces engaging in the pandemic combat, 20
million VND to the provincial General Hospital and 40 boxes of instant noodle
to the province’s military school.
Under Document 414/MTTQ-BTT issued on April 10
by the provincial VFF Committee’s Standing Board, the donation campaign will
last through May 15. Therefore, the committee hopes to receive more
contributions from agencies, collectives and individuals in both Hoa Binh and
other provinces./.
