HBO) – After three days of working in a serious, prompt and democratic manner and with high sense of responsibility towards the Party and people, the 17th Party Congress of Hoa Binh province for the 2020-2025 tenure wrapped up on October 3 afternoon.

The congress discussed and reached high consensus on important documents, including the report on the implementation of the resolution of the 16thprovincial Party Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, specified the provincial Party organisation’s targets and tasks for the 2020-2025 tenure, and gave opinions about draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Party Congress.

At the event, 104 delegates raised their opinions at group discussions and plenary sessions, showing their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility towards important issues of the province. The presidium took note of the opinions, clarified some issues under discussion, and assigned the document sub-committee to study those opinions to perfect the documents.

The congress elected a 52-member provincial Party Committee in the 17th tenure. At the first meeting on October 2, the provincial Party Committee elected a Standing Board with 12 members, along with the secretary, vice secretaries and the inspection board of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.

Ngo Van Tuan, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for 2015-2020, was chosen Secretary for 2020-2025 while Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Duc Hinh are selected as Vice Secretaries of the provincial Party Committee in the new tenure.

Besides, 11 were elected to the inspection board of the 17th-tenure provincial Party Committee, with deputy head of the province’s National Assembly deputies’ delegation Nguyen Tien Sinh named head of this board.

The congress also selected 19 official members and one alternate member for the Hoa Binh delegation to the 13th National Party Congress.

Delegates at the event also adopted the resolution of the 17th provincial Party Congress.

In his inauguration speech, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan expressed his honour and awareness of his responsibility towards the Party organisation and people of Hoa Binh. He pledged that the 17th-tenure provincial Party Committee will stay united and make wholehearted efforts together with the entire Party organisation and people of the province to successfully carry out the resolutions of the 17th provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress towards a rich and beautiful Hoa Binh province of sustainable development.

Speaking to close the congress, the official stressed that in a straightforward and objective manner, the congress reviewed the realisation of targets and tasks; pointed out shortcomings, weaknesses, their causes and lessons in the implementation of the 16th provincial Party Congress’s resolution; had in-depth and comprehensive review of the performance of the 16th-tenure provincial Party Committee; and specified orientations, targets and tasks for the 17th-tenure Party organisation in 2020-2025.

Delegates gave many sincere opinions on draft documents submitted to the provincial congress and the 13th National Party Congress. They also chose the provincial Party Committee and its Standing Board for 2020-2025 that include outstanding persons in terms of capacity and morality representing over 67,000 local Party members to shoulder heavy tasks assigned by the Party and people. Meanwhile, the selected delegates to attend the 13th National Party Congress are exemplary ones of the province’s Party orgnisation who are able to make active contributions to the success of the national event, Tuan noted.

He requested that after the provincial congress, all-level Party committees, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front committees and socio-political organisations in Hoa Binh swiftly disseminate the event’s outcomes among the entire local Party organisation, people and armed forces; and promptly build and carry out action programmes and plans to implement the resolution so that the economy of Hoa Binh will reach the country’s average by 2025./.
