(HBO) – Recently, from a remote commune of particularly disadvantaged conditions, Huu Loi (Yen Thuy) has transformed into a new-style rural area at the marvel and euphoria of local people and cadres. This achievement highlighted the persevering efforts of the whole local political system in building and renovating the homeland.

Rural road system in Huu Loi (Yen Thuy) was solidified with concrete and asphalt, contributing to socio-economic development.

As shared by Mr. Bui Xuan Dieu, Chairman of Communal People’s Committee, in order to ensure effective implementation of annual new-style rural area building (NRAB) tasks, the communal Steering Committee establishes specific plans to indoctrinating, direct the units, hamlets and villages in propagandizing about the importance of NRAB, abolishing the practices of being reliant and dependent on State assistance, encouraging their proactiveness, promoting the people’s sense of control, transforming NRAB into an emulation campaign of pervasive impact.

Given the fact that the communal economy was basically agricultural and subsistent, relying largely on natural elements, the communal party and administrative organizations advocated prioritizing production development and livelihood diversification to raise villagers’ incomes. Villages were instructed and mobilized to restructure their plant crops and domestic animal stocks, developing household economy and cooperative economy. The commune acted in coordination with the provincial and district relevant agencies to build economic models for expansion. Consequently, in 2021, communal per capita income reached 36.05 million VND, and the poverty rate fell to under 12%.

Besides, Huu Loi’s achievementsin NRAB are also marked by the infrastructure and amenities system built by fundamental funds meeting the people’s needs. Irrigation works were also given special investment, expanding the cultivated land area by 70%. 100% of households are wired to a safe power grid. 2/2 schools qualified for the national standard. Basic public facilities like sports stadium, cultural centers provide venues for the people’s recreational needs, helping to improve life quality.

Thanks to the overall consensus of the political system in socio-economic development, safeguarding security and defence, the once particularly underprivileged Huu Loi was certified with new-style rural area title in 2021./.
