(HBO) – In early days of 2022, the Study Encouragement Association in Hoa Binh’s Cao Phong district received a certificate of merit conferred by the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association Central Committee and was recognised as an outstanding unit in the work in the 2016-20 period. At a conference to review the work last year, the district’s association honoured 498 individuals of prominent families upholding passion for learning, as well as officials, workers and civil servants who hold master’s degrees, teachers and outstanding students, among others.

Last year, in an effort to promote an emulation campaign in study encouragement, associations at all levels upheld their key role to roll out numerous activities so as to popularise the spirit in the community.

To date, all villages, hamlets and residential areas have set up study encouragement associations. The district is home to 81 committees, with 12,671 members.

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Phong district Bui Anh Tuan said emulation campaigns have been carried out across various fields alongside the study encouragement, in an attempt to bolster socio-economic development.

Amid lingering difficulties, the district has viewed the campaigns as one of the key tasks that help it fulfil targets of socio-economic development and ensuring security and political stability in the locality.

Cao Phong has launched many campaigns from the beginning of 2021, with specific and practical goals in line with characteristics, situation and requirements of organisations, units and localities. The campaigns call on officials and people to bolster production and realise set targets.

Last year, three collectives were awarded by the State, 17 others and 35 individuals by the province, and 30 organisations named as outstanding ones by the Chairman of the People’s Committee, among others./.
