(HBO) – Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee and head of the National Assembly deputies’ delegation of the province, chaired the monthly meeting of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on February 24. The event discussed many important issues on local socio-economic development.

Participants looked into a report by the Party
unit at the provincial People’s Committee that asked for the Standing Board’s
opinions about the contract liquidation of the Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh City
Expressway project, implemented in the build - transfer (BT) format; the
Standing Board’s draft directive on enhancing the leadership over site
clearance for investment projects; the Standing Board’s draft plan on
developing the Hoa Binh Newspaper into a professional and modern multi-media,
multi-platform, and digital press agency by 2030; a proposal by the provincial
People’s Committee’s Office on the breakthrough programmes and projects in
2022; along with many other important issues.
Secretary Tuan assigned the Office of the
provincial People’s Committee to coordinate with relevant agencies to consider
the opinions to finalise the drafts so as to ensure effectiveness once they are
promulgated.
Regarding the focal tasks for this year, he
emphasised that as 2022 is critical to the implementation of the resolution of
the 17th provincial Party Congress, tasks are very heavy, requiring drastic
efforts and high sense of responsibility from departments, sectors, and
localities.
They need to identify breakthrough steps and key
tasks; improve the awareness of cadres, Party members, and civil servants,
especially their leaders, in performing duties; and measure their duty
fulfillment basing on performance outcomes, the official noted./.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee has issued a conclusion reviewing the three years implementing its resolution on preserving and promoting cultural values in Hoa Binh province for 2021 – 2025 with a vision towards 2030.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh expressed his hope for more support from the European Union (EU) and the French Development Agency (AFD) for the local development, while hosting a delegation from the two organisations led by Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Shinas on October 23.
During her working visit to Hoa Binh province on October 18, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan toured a site where late President Ho Chi Minh once stayed when he visited the Kim Boi district’s Party Committee. She was accompanied by officials from various ministries, agencies, and central organisations.
A ceremony was held in Kim Boi district on October 18 in the presence of Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice State President, to mark 60 years since President Ho Chi Minh visited and met with the Party Committee of Kim Boi district (September 19, 1964 - 2024) and the 65th founding anniversary of the district (April 17, 1959 - 2024), and to receive the third-class Labour Order.
