(HBO) – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Hoa Binh held a ceremony at Cong Nghiep high school on April 17 to launch the "Hoa Binh Youth for National Seas, Islands” programme and communications on seas and islands among its members and local youngsters in 2022, drawing nearly 100 union officials in Hoa Binh city and members at the school.

HCYU officials of Hoa Binh city make donations to soldiers and islanders in Truong Sa island district and DK1 Platform at the launching ceremony.

Within the programme, local youngsters discussed issues related to national sovereignty over seas and islands and the protection of the national sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.

With the spirit of heading to beloved Truong Sa and protecting the sacred national sovereignty over seas and islands, HCYU committees at all levels as well as officials and members of the union have designed plans to actively respond to the programme, while focusing on popularising the national sovereignty over seas and islands among local youngsters and children, and coordinating with relevant agencies to educate them on national patriotism tradition.

At the launching of the programme, 18.4 million VND (801 USD) was raised for soldiers and islanders in Truong Sa island district and at DK1 Platform. The HCYU committees at all levels of Hoa Binh will continue to receive donations in the time to come./.
