(HBO) – Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has attended the national great unity festival 2017 and the 87th anniversary of the tradition day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) (November 18) in Bui Tram hamlet, Hoa Son commune (Luong Son).

Present at the event were Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Secretary General and Chairman of the NA Office; Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Quang, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and representatives from the VFF Central Committee and NA Department for People's Aspiration.

 Implementing the movement "All people unite to build the new-style new rural and civilised urban areas”, people in Bui Tram hamlet in 2017 have continued promoting the national tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance to develop the economy, escape from poverty and get rich. They also donated land to the new-style rural area building programme. At present, the hamlet has two poor households, making up 2.1 percent, five nearly-poor families, accounting for 3.5 percent, with average per capita income of 30 million VND a year. People actively responded to learning encouragement movements, building a learning society, and sport activities, while keeping the environment clean and adopting self-governing security. As a result, 90 percent of households and hamlets have been recognised as the cultural family while the hamlet as the title of cultural residential area for three consecutive years (2015 - 2017).

 Talking with residents in the hamlet, the top legislator expressed her pleasure to share joy over the national great unity festival and the 87th anniversary of the traditional day of the VFF.

 Witnessing the happy life of local people in Bui Tram hamlet, the NA Chairwoman extolled local authorities, front, political-social organisations and residents for promoting the spirit of solidarity and sparing no effort to overcome difficulties and build a civilised and well-off homeland.

 The national great unity festival aims to review the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Party and VFF Central Committee, and build on achievements to implement more effectively tasks in the new period. The top legislator urged Bui Tram people to promote solidarity to build new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas, contributing to the cause of national building and development. Particularly, along with economic development, the hamlet must preserve the traditional cultural values.

 At the festival, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Luong Son district, presented gifts to people in Bui Tram hamlet and policy beneficiary families and poor households. The People’s Committee of Hoa Son commune presented certificates of merit to 10 outstanding households with the title of cultural family in 2017.

 On the occasion, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan planted a commemorative tree in the campus of the cultural house in Bui Tram hamlet.
