(HBO) – On the occasion of the 132rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, Lac Thuy district has promoted emulation movements towards completion of socio-economic development targets for the 2020-2025 period with specific actions from local organisations.

With its vanguard role, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lac Thuy has taken actions to popularise revolutionary ideology among its members, while speeding up the campaign of "one good news each day, one beautiful story each week,” and increasing youngsters’ engagement in social welfare, community development and environmental protection activities.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lac Thuy Dinh Quang Khai, the union at all levels in the district have conducted many works to celebrate Uncle Ho’s birthday in association with the building of new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas.

Meanwhile, the district has strengthened communications among local officials, Party members, youth union members and students on the life, career and great contributions by President Ho Chi Minh to the nation, inspiring their patriotism. Alongside, role models in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example have been replicated.

Hoang Ngoc My, head of the district Committee for Information and Education, said that the district Party Committee has planned a series of activities on the occasion, including the offering of incense to the late leader at President Ho Chi Minh’s temple, a seminar on the first printing factory of the Vietnamese revolution in Phu Nghia commune, and a ceremony to pay tribute to the national leader and heroic martyrs. A contest to explore the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh has been organised, said My.

My said that the activities are expected to enhance public awareness of Ho Chi Minh ideology, morality and lifestyle. The district has launched a special emulation movement until the end of the year to promote the strength of the whole political system in association with the strengthening of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example./.
