(HBO) – alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long on November 16 led a delegation to pay a working visit to Ngo Luong commune of Tan Lac district.

The provincial delegation visits the location for the building of the headquarters of Ngo Luong commune’s administration.

Ngo Luong is a mountainous commune with four hamlets, 350 households and 1,652 people. Local residents live mostly on farming and breeding. Per capita income in 2021 was 27.3 million VND (1,100 USD).

Currently, the local infrastructure system has been basically developed, while 100% of households have accessed electricity from the national grid. In the first 10 months of 2022, the total value of agricultural production of the commune was estimated at 137 billion VND, and services, handicrafts accounted for 20% of the economy.

At the working session, leaders of Ngo Luong made a number of proposals related to the investment in the construction of new headquarters of the communal administration, the building of schools, infrastructure system, and the production development.

Concluding the session, Long hailed the commune’s performance in completing its political missions over the years and asked Ngo Luong to continue to actively implement the resolution so as to turn mountainous communes into a provincial tourism site in 2030 with a vision to 2050.

The leader also requested the locality to pay more attention to Party building, political education and personnel training, especially for female officials from ethnic minority groups. The commune should also promote its forestry industry with focus on herbal medicine development, while expanding the cooperative models and cooperative groups.

On the occasion of the 40th Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20), Long and the provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to some teachers of Ngo Luong primary and secondary school, and inspected the site for the construction of the Ngo Luong commune’s administration headquarters and that to be developed into community tourism villages of the commune. They also visited and presented gifts to teacher Bui Xuan Dung, former principal of Ngo Luong Secondary School in Tan Lac district.
