The delegation of the provincial Party Committee's standing board visits Trai Hamlet cave in Tan Lap commune,Lac Son Commune.

In Lac Son district, the delegation visited Trai Hamlet cave in Tan Lap commune and the Vanh Village stone shelter in Yen Phu commune, which are typical archaeological sites of the Hoa Binh Civilisation and have been ranked as national relic sites.

In 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism allowed Hoa Binh province to excavate these two national archaeological sites. The excavations unearthed thousands of artifacts, typically stone, bone and ceramic artifacts, most of which are artifacts of shaped pebbles, scraps, raw pebbles and cores.

After seeing the conditions at these two archaeological sites, Long asked the province’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Department to urgently take steps to prepare documents asking for recognition of the two sites as special national relic sites.

He required local authorities to pay attention to preserving and promoting the values of the relics.

Lac Son district authority was asked to consult the province about the planning and funding to build the Hoa Binh Cultural Museum to conserve precious artifacts of archaeological relics in the locality as well as the cultural values of the province.

Long said that the restoration of relics must be in line with regulations, keep their values intact, and meet the spiritual needs of local people.

The district also needs to pay attention to investing in a road system that connects the relics with main roads and other tourist attractions in the area.

In Tan Lac district, the delegation visited Luy Ai village in Phong Phu commune.

In 2008, the village was recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a typical traditional village of ethnic minorities and a representative village of the Muong ethnic group among 20 traditional villages of the country. Sixty-nine stilt houses in the hamlet are well preserved and the temple where villagers worship the Village's Tutelary god is recognised as a provincial historical and cultural relic.

Long said that the province’s culture sector need to consult cultural experts and relevant agencies to construct a Muong Cultural Space to further preserve, promote and honor the Muong culture.

It is also necessary to have a plan to create livelihoods for local people so that they can preserve the 69 ancient stilt houses properly.

The cultural agencies and Tan Lac district were asked to provide local people with financial support, equipment and knowledge in homestay tourism. The locality also needs to call on people to keep environmental hygiene, plant indigenous trees, and create green clean beautiful landscapes.

"The principle is to develop tourism and at the same time properly preserve the ancient Muong village, traditional ethnic cultural identities, natural landscape to improve living conditions and spiritual life of people,” Long said.

In Cao Phong district, the delegation inspected the implementation of the project "Mo Muong Cultural Conservation Area in Combination with Tourism Area in Hop Phong Commune". The project proposal was approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 455/NQ-HDND, dated May 11, 2021, with an investment of 50 billion VND.

The delegation asked the Cao Phong district authority to urgently carry out site clearance as well as arrange a resettlement area for people who have to move to make room for the construction.

The implementation of the project must neither affect the natural landscape nor local cultural and spiritual values. During the construction, it is necessary to organise seminars to consult cultural experts to ensure that the construction meets the requirements of the preservation of traditional cultural and spiritual values./.
