(HBO) – The 12th session of the 17th-tenure provincial People’s Committee attracted great attention from voters and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province. The people-elected deputies worked with a high sense of responsibility, thus living up to the public’s trust and expectations.
With a high sense of responsibility and democracy, a
deputy of Hoa Binh city raises a question about waste treatment, an issue
drawing great public attention.
The session, officially opening at 8am on
December 8, spent much time on group discussions of various issues.
In particular, the session heated up with the
plenary question-and-answer meeting. Deputies of the provincial People’s
Council grilled the provincial People’s Committee and its members about the
management of solid waste in Hoa Binh city, and the governance over industrial
explosive materials and the electricity sector in the province.
The question-and-answer sitting took place in a
democratic and constructive manner that straightforwardly looked into the
issues about which deputies, voters, and people were concerned. Others high on
the agenda included administrative procedures, professional ethics, and
discipline of some officials and civil servants; along the progress of land
auction, site clearance, and compensation in certain projects.
Deputies also scrutinised the feasibility and
conformity of draft resolutions submitted to the 12th session with the Party’s
guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and local socio-economic conditions.
Members of the provincial People’s Committee and
heads of sectors gave clear answers and explanation about all the issues raised
at the meeting, pointed out causes, straightforwardly accepted responsibility,
detailed solutions to shortcomings, and also pledged to carry out those
measures in the time ahead. Leaders of the provincial administration also
provided more information about some issues within the remit of the provincial
People’s Committee and contentious matters.
In his closing remarks, Bui Duc Hinh, Vice
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial
People’s Council, said the session was highly successful. Particularly, the
people-elected deputies upheld a high sense of responsibility, brought into
play their wisdom, solidarity, and democracy, and contributed many quality
opinions, helping the provincial People’s Council make judicious decisions
about important issues and meeting voters and people’s demand and
aspirations./.
Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, on May 14 chaired a meeting of the provincial steering committee for its programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for the poor. The session reviewed the programme’s outcomes to date and discussed forthcoming tasks.
