(HBO) – Hoa Binh has performed well in building local armed forces in a firm and comprehensive manner, Colonel Quach Dang Phu, Political Commissar of the provincial Military High Command told Bao Hoa Binh (Hoa Binh Newspaper) on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2022) and the 33rd All People’s Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 – 2022).
The forces completed all targets in mobilising reserve forces with improved political quality.
Colonel Phu said that the provincial
Military High Command has provided political and ideological education to all
officers and soldiers in line with regulation. In 2022, 14 out of 15 units of the local armed forces registered to become
comprehensively strong and model units. The forces completed all targets in mobilising reserve forces with improved
political quality.
Military units at all levels have improved combat readiness and conducted
regular patrols to closely monitor the situation in the locality, while staying
ready to participate in responding to natural disasters and search and rescue
activities, he said.
He noted that this year, the provincial Military High Command organised 21
training courses for more than 2,000 local officials, including those from the
civil defence force. Colonel Phu attributed the results to the proper management and leadership of
the Party Committees and administration at all levels in Hoa Binh and the
provincial Military High Command. Those results provide a firm foundation for the effective implementation of the
province’s tasks in boosting socio-economic and cultural development and
ensuring defence and security at the same time, he said.
Regarding major tasks of the provincial armed forces in the time to come,
Colonel Phu said that the forces will continue to stick to the Party’s policies
and viewpoints as well as State’s laws and regulations on defence and security,
while closely monitoring the situation to timely give advice to the local Party
Committee and administration in the field, and working to improve public
awareness of building people-based defence.
The forces will focus on enhancing the overall strength and combat readiness,
developing the forces towards revolutionary, regular, elite and modern
direction, and completing all targets in building reserve forces.
At the same time, the forces will also stay prepared for all circumstances and
master all new weapons and equipment, while building a contingent of
highly-qualified military officials in localities, and concentrating on Party
building and promoting the role of officials and Party members in implementing
assigned tasks, he said./.
