(HBO) – A delegation of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, led by Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Duc Hinh, has held a working session with the Tan Lac district Party Committee’s Standing Board to look into the local implementation of political tasks and key socio-economic development projects in the first quarter, and discuss focal duties for the time ahead.

As heard at the event, Tan Lac has
comprehensively carried out the Party and political system building and
promoted the performance of political tasks in first months of 2023.
So far, ten of the 16 local communal-level
localities have had the leaders of their communal-level Party committees and
administrations who are not natives. Nine of 15 rural communes have been
recognised as new-style rural areas, with each meeting 15.7 of the 19 criteria
on average. The local urbanisation rate has reached 28.3%. Meanwhile, Tan Lac
has recorded certain process in cultural, social, healthcare, and educational
aspects, stability in the socio-economic situation, and guaranteed defence -
security.
However, site clearance for projects, state
budget collection, transport infrastructure, health care, and farm produce sale
are still facing difficulties.
At the meeting, local officials submitted some
mechanism and policy proposals to provincial leaders.
Recognising Tan Lac’s attainments, Bui Duc Hinh,
Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the
provincial People’s Council, asked the district to press on with the Party and
political system building while preparing for the collection of votes of
confidence under the Politburo’s Regulation No 96-QD/TW, dated February 2,
2023, on the vote of confidence for the ones holding leadership and management
titles and positions in the political system
Tan Lac needs to continue enhancing local
authorities’ direction and governance capacity, step up administrative reform,
further improve the investment and business climate, increase budget
collection, accelerate projects and public investment disbursement, and pay due
attention to cultural and social aspects, disease prevention and control,
natural disaster response, and defence - security safeguarding, he noted.
The official took in the district’s opinions and
proposals and assigned the Party’s civil affairs board of the provincial
People’s Committee to handle.

Secretary and other officials examined the Ngoi Hoa - National Highway 6 road
project in My Hoa commune, the Supertex - Tan Lac knitting factory in Thanh Hoi
commune, and the Ho Guom garment company in Phong Phu commune. They also
visited a red-fleshed pomelo farming model in Dong Lai commune.

Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.

Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, on May 14 chaired a meeting of the provincial steering committee for its programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for the poor. The session reviewed the programme’s outcomes to date and discussed forthcoming tasks.
