(HBO) - To ensure the stable and safe grid operation during the holidays to celebrate Southern Liberation Day, 30 April and the International Labor Day, 1 May, Hoa Binh Power Company (Hoa Binh PC) has directed to strengthen the inspection work to overcome the shortcomings and defects on the power grid and they have performed the maintenance and cleaning of the equipment to ensure safe operation.

Mr. Nguyen The Hung, the Deputy Director of Hoa Binh PC says: During the upcoming holidays of April 30 and May 1, the load is forecasted to grow strongly. Therefore, in addition to ensuring electricity for the daily life, Hoa Binh PC has developed a power supply plan for the political, cultural and tourism events on this occasion. Accordingly, the company has directed the specialized departments and affiliated units to strengthen the solutions to ensure the stable power supply. The Dispatch Division has prepared a plan for the stable power supply during holidays; making daily reports on the operation during the public holidays to the Northern Electricity Corporation and the Department of Industry and Trade.
For the teams of electricity and the high-voltage grid operation management, the company has directed to strengthen the inspection of the power grid to promptly overcome the shortcomings, ensuring the safe operation of the grid, and stabilizing the power supply. It is necessary to formulate and implement the plans for the power supply for the holidays. It is also necessary to fully prepare the backup means, supplies and equipment to quickly handle the incident or switch to the backup method, quickly restoring the power in case of the problem. At the same time, they have strengthened the coordination between units when working on the power grid; promoting the use of equipment to repair hot electricity, cleaning the insulation without cutting the power, resolutely not letting the blackout that causes the production stoppage. They have been propagating widely on how to use electricity safely and economically on the mass media.
In addition, Hoa Binh PC has requested the Hotline team to coordinate with the electricians to promptly remedy the abnormalities on the 22 kV power grid to ensure safety. The Planning and Materials Department has accelerated the repair of large-capacity transformers, working with the repair units or supply units to borrow large-capacity machines to respond promptly when there are problems. In addition, the specialized departments and affiliated units have set up the leadership and production duties to ensure the power supply and to operate the clerical and information technology systems during the holidays.
