Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, addresses the meeting.

The provincial Department of Planning and Investment reported on the performance of tasks related to key projects since April 25, including the construction of Km19+000 - Km53+000 section of Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway, Hoa Binh - Hanoi connection road and Son La Expressway (Hoa Binh - Moc Chau), and the first phase of a road linking Hoa Binh’s Luong Son town with Hanoi’s Xuan Mai town.

However, the projects are facing obstacles relevant to site clearance, procedures for sourcing materials and dumping waste, and change of forest land use purposes.

Considering difficulties and bottlenecks, officials discussed measures to handle those problems and speed up the progress of projects in the time ahead.

In his remarks, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, stressed that the key projects are highly important to the province's socio-economic development in the coming years, but they are lagging behind schedule, so departments, sectors, and localities need to take stronger actions.

He asked the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People’s Committee to order the administration focus on dealing with bottlenecks to accelerate the key projects.

Meanwhile, departments, sectors, district-level localities, and investors need to fulfill their responsibilities, boost coordination to speed up site clearance and resettlement area building, solve difficulties related to materials in line with regulations, and give detailed directions on each project to ensure the progress.

For the projects that do not use the State budget, departments, sectors, and localities should enhance coordination to provide maximum support so that investors can start work on schedule. Besides, they need to engage the entire political system in the work while the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels need to properly carry out communications to win over people’s support for the projects, Long added./.
