(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province on October 5 held a meeting with local investors to seek ways to remove difficulties and obstacles facing them during their investment and business activities. Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, chaired the event, which also drew the attendance of Vice Chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee as well as leaders of provincial departments, sectors and more than 100 businesses.

As part of efforts to improve the business and investment environment and
enhance the locality’s competitiveness, the Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee issued a directive specifying major tasks and solutions on the
direction and management of the local socio-economic development and State
budget estimate in 2023, assigning specific tasks to particular agencies in the
work.
The committee has issued a list of 1,113 online public services and 745 partly
online services, while directing the continuous simplification of
administrative procedures, making regulations related to business conditions,
market participation, land access and construction transparent, and erasing
unsuitable regulations that hinder production and business activities.
Data available on the National Public Service Portal revealed that as of July
2023, Hoa Binh posted 81.38 points in terms of providing serving the people and
businesses in processing administrative procedures, ranking second among
localities nationwide. In August, the province's score for handling
administrative procedures on the electronic environment reached 70.97 points,
ranking second out of 63 provinces and cities.
At the same time, 100% local businesses have been updated with new tax policies
through zalo and Facebook, while 100% of local firms have used e-invoices, and
100% of tax payment transactions have been made through e-transactions.
In the first nine months of this year, Hoa Binh attracted 32 investment
projects with total registered investment of 14 trillion VND (574.35 million
USD). To date, the province has hosted 747 projects, including 36
foreign-invested projects worth 608 million USD.
Hoa Binh has seen the establishment of 320 new firms with a total registered
capital of 4.2 trillion VND.
At the meeting, businesses put forth opinions and requests regarding the
licencing of construction and mining activities, and asked for support in some
areas.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van
Khanh recognised contributions of businesses and noted down their suggestions
and opinions.
He assigned provincial departments, sectors and localities to directly settle
obstacles facing the firms as soon as possible, and propose solutions to
authorised agencies on issues beyond their authority.
Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, on May 14 chaired a meeting of the provincial steering committee for its programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for the poor. The session reviewed the programme’s outcomes to date and discussed forthcoming tasks.
