(HBO) – The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Council welcomed and had a working session with Dorj Enkhbat, former Ambassador of Mongolia to Vietnam and advisor to the working team of the People’s Council of the country’s Tuv province, on November 7. The Mongolian delegation, including some companies from Tuv, visited Hoa Binh to discuss a connectivity programme that aims to enhance development cooperation between enterprises of the two provinces.

Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, and Dorj Enkhbat, former Ambassador of Mongolia to Vietnam and advisor to the working team of the Tuv provincial People’s Council, share opinions at the meeting.

Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, gave a brief presentation on local socio-economic development.

He noted that during the recent State visit to Vietnam, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and the high-ranking delegation of Mongolia visited the Luong Son Industrial Park in Luong Son district and the high-end Serena Resort in Kim Boi district.

In 2018, as assigned by the two countries’ parliamentary leaders, the Hoa Binh People’s Council signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation with the Tuv People’s Council, he said, adding that bilateral relations have been increasingly reinforced via mutual visits and meetings.

To maintain and further develop cooperation between Hoa Binh enterprises and partners from Tuv and Mongolia at large, the official called on former Ambassador Enkhbat and Mongolian businesses to push ahead with cooperation activities, including helping capable enterprises of Vietnam and Hoa Binh cooperate with potential Tuv partners and Mongolian localities to import strong products of the landlocked country, especially animal fur and hide to produce consumer goods in Vietnam.

The Chairman suggested them help provide information for Mongolian partners so that they can import products of his province’s strength such as citrus fruits like orange and pomelo, purple sugarcane, bamboo shoots, fish farmed in Hoa Binh Lake, and some essential oil products. He also recommended cooperation in introducing each other’s histories, customs, cultures, and arts to contribute to tourism development.

Vice Secretary and Chairman Hinh wished the cooperation between the two provinces will be increasingly tightened and reaped fruitful results.

For his part, Enkhbat provided an introduction of Tuv province’s potential, strengths, and socio-economic development achievements, along with the fields its enterprises hope to cooperate with Hoa Binh firms in under the MoUs signed between their localities’ agencies to promote bilateral development cooperation.

At the event, the two sides also discussed the building of a joint factory producing horse bone jelly, and the establishment of partnership between tourism companies of Hoa Binh and Tuv./.
