The Association of History of Hoa Binh province held its third congress, for the 2023 - 2028 tenure, on November 15 with the participation of 110 delegates representing more than 1,000 members across the province.

provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee present flowers to congratulate
the congress.
During the
2017 - 2022 tenure, the association exerted efforts to attract new members and
collaborators who are dedicated and have high specialised capacity to
contribute to the development of historical science in Hoa Binh and Vietnam at
large. It chaired and participated in the compilation and publication of many
important works on historical science of the province. It gave advice and
feedback, and assessed the structures and projects related to the history and
culture of ethnic groups in Hoa Binh.
Its members
actively researched, taught, collected materials of history, and popularised
the hometown’s history and traditions among the community, thereby
substantially helping educate the young, especially high school students in the
province, on history and revolutionary traditions.
In
particular, the association coordinated with the provincial Party Committee’s
information and education board and the Vietnam Association of Historical
Science to propose the provincial Party Committee issue Project No 14-DA/TU on
the collection, research, and compilation of a set of books on the history of
Hoa Binh province from the initial period to 2020. It also worked with the
provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the provincial Union
of Science and Technology Associations to conduct a study on the historical and
cultural values of the materials and remembrances of Tay Tien (Marching
Westwards) Regiment 52 to serve the education of traditions and develop tourism
in Hoa Binh.
For the
2023 - 2028 tenure, the association is set to step up researching history and
compiling publications, collect and amend documents on the local history,
popularise outstanding historical figures and events, and boost coordination in
researching and compiling documents on the Hoa Binh Civilisation. It will also
carry out history education on digital platforms, spread knowledge about
historical science in the public, and cooperate with domestic and foreign
political, economic and social organisations as well as individuals in
historical science.
Addressing
the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Cuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Association
of Historical Science, and historian Duong Trung Quoc, Vice Chairman and
Secretary General of the national association, praised the Hoa Binh
association’s achievements during the last tenure. They also called on local
Party committees and administrations to create favourable material and
spiritual conditions for the association to continue fulfilling its tasks in
the time ahead.
Vice
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Cong Su also delivered
remarks to give directions at the congress.
The
congress elected a 29-member executive committee and a nine-member standing
board for the association in the third tenure. Le Van Bang was re-elected
Chairman of the Hoa Binh Association of History.
On this
occasion, the Vietnam Association of Historical Science presented the insignia
"For the cause of historical studies of Vietnam” to 16 individuals, and
certificates of merit to two collectives and four individuals with outstanding
performance in history-related collection, compilation, and education during
2017 - 2022. The provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit
to four individuals.
A delegation of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam led by Ambasador Sandeep Arya paid a working trip to Hoa Binh province on April 1, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities. The delegation was received by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, along with Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, and representatives from various departments and agencies.
A delegation from the Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee led by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, on March 20 inspected the progress of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project in Mai Chau district.
The Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of Hoa Binh province convened a meeting on March 11 to deploy key tasks.
Lac Son district is reorganising and streamlining its organisational apparatus and the contingent of officials, civil servants and public employees in line with Resolution 18 issued by the 12th Party Central Committee.
The provincial Department of Public Security has reorganised its structure to enhance operational efficiency and meet the evolving demands of the new era. In line with the Resolution No. 25 of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the move aims to streamline personnel, standardise leadership roles, and strengthen the police force’s capacity while creating better conditions for modernising equipment.
The subcommittee for documents of the 18th Hoa Binh provincial Party Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term, convened on March 3 to review and incorporate public feedback on the congress’s draft documents. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee. It was attended by senior provincial officials, including Bui Thi Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; other members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee; and members of the document subcommittee.
