Hoa Binh province's steering committee for Party and union building in non-state enterprises has held a conference to assess the results of the work last year and deploy key activities for 2024. The event was chaired by Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, and head of the steering committee.

the conference.
In 2023, the province admitted 40 persons working in
non-state enterprises to the Party and saw eight new Party cells established in
these businesses, up 43% and 60% year-on-year, respectively. The provincial
Party organisation logged 1,182 Party members in non-state enterprises, a 6.1%
increase from 2022. In terms of union development, 18 grassroots trade unions
with 3,219 members as well as three youth organisations with 125 members were
set up.
Many business owners have shown interest and provided
favourable conditions for employees to engage in related activities in their
places of residence and strive to be admitted to the Party. The roles and
positions of Party committees, cells, and members, and trade unions within the
enterprises have also increasingly improved.
However, the numbers of Party members and unions in
non-state enterprises remain low compared to the total number of active
businesses in the province. Some enterprises have established their Party
organisations, but their leadership role and quality of activities have yet to
be effective.
In his concluding remarks, Hinh suggested that various
levels and sectors should thoroughly implement and strictly adhere to central
and provincial-level directives, which aim to strengthen the Party leadership
in private economic units.
According to the official, efforts should be made to enhance
awareness among business owners and employees in the non-state sector.
Dialogues with businesses should be increased while administrative procedures
should be reformed, and favourable conditions should be created to help
enterprises overcome difficulties and promote production and business
development.
Furthermore, he noted that a focus should be placed on
training and enhancing the skills of personnel responsible for the Party and
union work in the enterprises. Timely recognition and rewards should be given
to firms, groups, and individuals with outstanding achievements in production
and business activities, fulfilling their obligations to the state and
contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, and other officials on April 8 examined some key transport projects, namely the road connecting Tran Hung Dao Road and Dan Chu ward with National Highway 6, the regional connectivity road linking Hoa Binh and Hanoi with Son La Expressway (Hoa Binh - Moc Chau), and the first phase of a road from Luong Son township of Hoa Binh to Xuan Mai township of Hanoi.
Hoa Binh province recorded nearly 20 cases of religion-related wrongdoings in 2023 and the first two months of 2024. However, thanks to their active and effective engagement, relevant agencies and religious organisations have helped the provincial and district-level People’s Committees deal with those cases in a timely manner and in line with legal regulations, thus ensuring religious freedom.
The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee held its monthly conference in virtual form on April 2 to review draft documents to be submitted to the standing board of the provincial Party Committee and others under its management along with some other important issues. Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh chaired the event, which was connected with the people's committees of districts and cities in Hoa Binh.
