The Party Committee of Lac Son district has held a conference to review its performance in 2023 and launched tasks in 2024.

Last year, the district Party Committee implemented many synchronous solutions and achieved important results across all fields, fulfilling or surpassing 16 out of 17 goals set in the district Party Committee’s resolution. Personnel affairs were carried out in line with regulations, especially the rotation of officials under the management of the Standing Board of the district Party Committee. To date, 23 out of 24 communes and towns have key officials who are not local residents. Attention has been paid to party membership development with 227 new members, reaching 151.3% of the year's plan, equivalent to 100.88% of the assigned plan. Inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline have been strengthened.

The local economy has continued to develop, with economic structure shifting in the right direction and investment promotion activities promoted. The production value expanded by 12.03% a year, reaching 100.25% of the annual plan and the annual income per capita increased to 60.3 million VND (2,460 USD), equivalent to 100.5% of the plan. Total state budget revenue in the locality reached 107 billion VND. People's living conditions were improved and the poverty rate declined by 4.34% to 14.98%, surpassing the plan. National defence was consolidated and political security, order and social safety were maintained.

This year, Lac Son district Party Committee will continue to strengthen the building of a clean and strong political system, enhance the leadership capacity and combat power of grassroots-level Party organisations as well as the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members. It will strive to obtain main targets including admitting at least 230 new party members, 90% of grassroots party organisations and 85% of party members fulfilling their tasks well. The district also aims for an annual growth of 12% in production value and 65 million VND in annual income per capita. State budget revenue in the locality will hit 165 billion VND while poverty rate will be reduced by 4% a year and health insurance coverage rate will hit 94.76%.

The conference also evaluated the results of inspection, supervision and enforcement of party discipline in 2023, launched tasks in 2024 and reviewed the implementation of regulations No. 31 and 32 of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Standing Committee on criteria for assessing the quality of party cell activities and participation in these activities of district Party Committee members.

On this occasion, the district Party Committee handed over certificates of merit to 10 party organisations, two specialised advisory units which excellently fulfilled tasks in 2023, four party cells and 78 party members who excellently completed their tasks for five consecutive years (2019-2023).

The Standing Board of the district Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to five grassroots party organisations, five party cells and 16 party members who had outstanding performance in the implementation of Regulations No. 31 and 32 in the past five years.
