Over the past years, people-to-people diplomacy has been carried out in tandem with Party and State diplomacy, contributing to consolidating and enhancing the friendship between people of Hoa Binh province and foreign countries. The provincial Union of Friendship Organisations has significantly contributed to raising the quality of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation.

Statistics show that nearly 2,730 residents of
Hoa Binh are living, working and studying in Thailand, Laos, China, the
Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and some European countries.
Hoa Binh has made efforts to put in place
documents on overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation, and promote its
land and culture, as well as its development policies, helping enhance its
position and reputation in the eyes of international friends.

The province has paid attention to directing the
implementation of relevant directives and resolutions issued by the Party
Central Committee, the provincial Party Committee, and the provincial People's
Committee on people-to-people diplomacy, and stepped up the communications work
through different means.
The provincial Union of Friendship Organisations
convened its second congress for the 2022-2027 tenure on December 27, 2022. It
now comprises the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association, the Vietnam-Thailand
Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, with a
total of more than 300 members. It is working for the formation of the
Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) association and others.
Last year, the provincial People's Committee
admitted 14 foreign non-governmental programmes and projects with commitments
worth up to over 3 million USD. To date, 43 programmes, projects and
non-project aid programmes have been implemented in Hoa Binh with over 32.9
million USD from 16 non-governmental organisations, agencies and donors.
To complete people-to-people diplomacy tasks set
for 2024, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Chuong,
who is also President of the union, asked departments, agencies, units and
localities to raise awareness of the work, set out specific programmes and
plans for events and activities, reform their operations, and consolidate and
expand the networks of international friends and partners.
Seven years after the 12th Party Central Committee’s Resolution, Tan Lac district has seen considerable progresses.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a conference to announce decisions regarding the apparatus restructuring of the province’s political system and personnel affairs.
Following the results of the military enlistment examination for 2025, Lac Son district has seen 100 young men and women volunteering to enlist in the military. Among these recruits, there are several families where two siblings have both written voluntary enlistment letters, eager to undertake the sacred task of protecting the nation.
As the Party Organisation and people of Hoa Binh province welcome the arrival of spring, they take pride in the remarkable achievements obtained under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which turns 95 this spring. With a shared determination to build a prosperous future, they embrace ambitious aspirations for national development, joining hands with the whole country to prepare to enter a new era-one of national progress and advancement.
In 2023, the relic site where President Ho Chi Minh visited the Chi Hoa Production Group in Lam Son commune, Luong Son district of Hoa Binh province, was officially recognised as a provincial-level revolutionary historical site. Each year, it draws numerous visitors from across Vietnam and abroad, becoming a "red address" for educating young generations on the nation's revolutionary traditions.
According to the Party Charter, Party members who have been active in the revolution for a long time, and have maintained their Party membership for 30 years and more, will be awarded the Party badge. This is a noble reward, not only a source of pride and excitement for the Party members themselves and their families, but also a source of pride for the Party organisation that has such outstanding members who are shining examples for everyone to learn from and follow.
