Over the years, the People’s Council of Phu Nghia commune in Lac Thuy district has focused on renovating its organisation and operations, thus better promoting its role in representing the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to successfully implementing political tasks of the locality.

Deputies of the People’s Concil of Phu Nghia commune in Lac Thuy district discuss the supervision over the implementation of the council’s resolutions.

Last year, the council’s standing board closely followed directions from the district People’s Committee and Party Committee as well as the real situation in the locality to build suitable operation plans, focusing on supervising the implementation of resolutions on socio-economic development and responding to requests and opinions of voters as well as denunciations and complaints by citizens.

In the year, the council organised three meetings, including one thematic on the personnel work.

Deputies of the communal People’s Council stayed close to locals, and practically performed the role as representatives of the people, while supervision activities were implemented with high quality. In 2023, the council carried out three thematic supervisions and 12 direct supervisions.

Also in the year, opinions and requests of local voters received timely response. At the eighth meeting of the communal People’s Council, voters raised 30 opinions which were all sent to communal People’s Committee and replied in a timely manner.

Nguyen Anh Thang, Vice Chairman of the Phu Nghia People’s Council, said that in the coming time, the council will continue to renovate itself to enhance its supervision efficiency, while keeping a close eye on the implementation of conclusions after each supervision.

At the same time, it will enhance the quality of meetings with voters and give timely response to voters’ opinions and requests, while advising the district People’s Council to organise more training courses for deputies of the communal People’s Council in the 2021-2026 tenure, said Thang.
