Over the years, the People’s Council of Phu Nghia commune in Lac Thuy district has focused on renovating its organisation and operations, thus better promoting its role in representing the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to successfully implementing political tasks of the locality.

Nghia commune in Lac Thuy district discuss the supervision over the
implementation of the council’s resolutions.
Last year, the council’s standing board closely followed directions from the
district People’s Committee and Party Committee as well as the real situation
in the locality to build suitable operation plans, focusing on supervising the
implementation of resolutions on socio-economic development and responding to
requests and opinions of voters as well as denunciations and complaints by
citizens.
In the year, the council organised three meetings, including one thematic on
the personnel work.
Deputies of the communal People’s Council stayed close to locals, and
practically performed the role as representatives of the people, while
supervision activities were implemented with high quality. In 2023, the council
carried out three thematic supervisions and 12 direct supervisions.
Also in the year, opinions and requests of local voters received timely
response. At the eighth meeting of the communal People’s Council, voters raised
30 opinions which were all sent to communal People’s Committee and replied in a
timely manner.
Nguyen Anh Thang, Vice Chairman of the Phu Nghia People’s Council, said that in
the coming time, the council will continue to renovate itself to enhance its
supervision efficiency, while keeping a close eye on the implementation of
conclusions after each supervision.
At the same time, it will enhance the quality of meetings with voters and give
timely response to voters’ opinions and requests, while advising the district
People’s Council to organise more training courses for deputies of the communal
People’s Council in the 2021-2026 tenure, said Thang.
