Over the years, the Party Organisation of Doc Lap commune in Hoa Binh city has shown strong performance in leading the implementation of many measures to boost production, enhancing the living conditions of locals and promoting the locality’s internal strengths as well as potential and advantages.



Farmers of Muong Dao village, Doc Lap commune, Hoa Binh city, enjoy high economic efficiency from green squash cultivation.

Right after the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, local farmers started preparing for a new rice crop. This year, the communal Farmers’ Association has support local farmers to purchase fertilisers on credit  with a total of 36,150 kilos.

Defining economic development as a key task, the communal Party Organisation has been focusing on leading and providing favourable conditions for farmers to access technology advances and high quality plant and animal varieties.

Each year, the communal Party Committee builts resolutions and solutions to promote economic growth that match the reality of the locality, with special attention to transforming the local economic structure and enhancing farming efficiency.

Currently, the commune has one agricultural service cooperative in Noi village with 10 key members and 80 partnering members. Since 2021, the cooperative has developed vegetable and squash farming model towards VietGAP standards on an area of 3 hectares with a capacity of 35 tonnes per hectare.

Regarding the development of handicraft production and commercial services, the commune has applied many mechanisms to encourage households to invest in developing production and business activities, creating jobs, increasing income for workers, and coordinating with training institutions to give vocational training for farmers. In addition, the commune has effectively used resources to upgrade infrastructure and support farmers in accessing soft loans for production expansion, thus gradually reducing poverty and getting rich.

By applying harmonious solutions and promoting the pioneering role of officials and Party members, the commune has achieved great success in economic development, improving the living conditions of locals.

The commune was recognised as a new-style rural area in 2023, with per capita income of 42.1 million VND (1,707 USD) per year, and the poverty rate falling to 5.18%. The rate of trained workers in the commune has reached 75.2%, while the number of labourers getting stable employment is 93.7%.

Nguyen Van Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Doc Lap commune, said that basing on the resolution of the tenure, the communal Party Organisation has built plans for particular years and reviewed the implementation of the plan on a monthly basis to give timely response to difficulties.

In the time to come, the local Party Organisation and residents will continue promoting their achievements in Party building and socio-economic development, strengthening solidarity, enhancing the capacity and combativeness of the Party Organisation, and mobilising resources to successfully complete all socio-economic targets following the Resolution of the Party Organisation in the 2020-2025 tenure, he said.
