Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on March 21 to review the leadership over the implementation of tasks in the first quarter, identify focal tasks and solutions for the second quarter, and discuss some important draft reports.

At the event, participants reviewed the results
obtained in Q1 and also pointed out shortcomings and weaknesses in the building
of the Party, administration, Fatherland Front, and socio-political
organisations, along with in socio-economic development affairs such as the
gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth, public investment disbursement,
and site clearance and compensation. Basing on the findings, they proposed
several focal solutions and tasks for Q2 and the entire 2024.
Officials also gave opinions on some proposals
of the Party civil affairs board at the provincial People’s Committee,
including the adjustment of the 2024 public investment plan of Hoa Binh, the
adjustment of the investment policy on the Road 433 project leading to Dam Phe
hamlet in Muong Chieng commune of Da Bac district, the adjustment of the
investment policy on the upgrade of Provincial Road 435, and the
decentralisation of state management in some local socio-economic aspects.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Long asked
all-level Party committees and administrations to properly perform the Party
and political system building tasks, effectively comply with directions issued
by the Party Central Committee and the province, and review the implementation
of the directives and resolutions released by the provincial Party Committee
and its Standing Board.
He requested them make proper preparations for
all-level Party congresses, conduct examination and supervision effectively and
on schedule, pay due attention to the corruption combat and the enforcement of
the Party’s disciplinary measures, reform the methodology and improve the
effectiveness of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political
organisations’ activities, and enhance social supervision and feedback to
engage the public in the Party and State building.
With regard to socio-economic development, the
official demanded all-level authorities and relevant sectors step up the
implementation of 14 key investment projects in the province, accelerate public
investment disbursement, and assign capital disbursement tasks under the three
national target programmes.
Besides, it is necessary to promote cadres,
civil servants, and especially leaders’ sense of responsibility towards
administrative reform, particularly administrative procedure reform; tackle
obstacles to businesses and people; and take comprehensive measures for
ensuring social security.
The official also asked for effectively
implementing the plan on preserving and bringing into play the values of the
Muong ethnic culture and the Hoa Binh Civilisation in the province, reviewing
and speeding up the projects on upgrading health establishments from provincial
to grassroots levels, and considering the organisation of a meeting between
provincial leaders and the veterans who used to take part in the Dien Bien Phu
Campaign.
Seven years after the 12th Party Central Committee’s Resolution, Tan Lac district has seen considerable progresses.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a conference to announce decisions regarding the apparatus restructuring of the province’s political system and personnel affairs.
Following the results of the military enlistment examination for 2025, Lac Son district has seen 100 young men and women volunteering to enlist in the military. In 2023, the relic site where President Ho Chi Minh visited the Chi Hoa Production Group in Lam Son commune, Luong Son district of Hoa Binh province, was officially recognised as a provincial-level revolutionary historical site. Each year, it draws numerous visitors from across Vietnam and abroad, becoming a "red address" for educating young generations on the nation's revolutionary traditions.
According to the Party Charter, Party members who have been active in the revolution for a long time, and have maintained their Party membership for 30 years and more, will be awarded the Party badge. This is a noble reward, not only a source of pride and excitement for the Party members themselves and their families, but also a source of pride for the Party organisation that has such outstanding members who are shining examples for everyone to learn from and follow.
