Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee attended the 18th conference of the Party Committee of Mai Chau district for the 2020-2025 tenure on June 26 to review the implementation of tasks in the first six months of 2024 and outline tasks and key solutions for the second half.

Accordingly, over the first half, the Party organisation, authorities and people of Mai Chau district united and effectively implemented Resolution No. 10-NQ/HU, dated December 14, 2023, of the district Party Committee regarding the goals, tasks, and key solutions for 2024.
The party-building work continued to be strengthened and consolidated effectively. The locality also recorded stable economic development. Attention was paid to cultural and social sectors, while national defense, security, and social order were ensured.
Participants also analysed and clarified existing shortcomings, limitations, and weaknesses, while proposing feasible tasks and solutions to effectively fix these shortcomings, demonstrating determination to successfully fulfill the targets and tasks set for 2024.
In his speech, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long praised the Party organisation, authorities, and ethnic groups in Mai Chau district for the positive results they achieved in the first six months. He requested the district Party Committee to well implement working regulations and build unity within the entire Party. He underlined the need to select key tasks for directing implementation, focusing on preparing the conditions to successfully organise the Party congresses at all levels and the 27th district Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.
He asked for more attention to personal work; strengthening inspection, supervision, and enforcement of Party disciplines; promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations in social supervision and criticism; and building the Party and political system.
Regarding socio-economic development, he said that Mai Chau district needs to concentrate on developing key industries and areas, giving priority to developing eco-tourism and community-based tourism; protecting forests and natural resources; preserving and promoting national cultural identity as an advantage to develop tourism and services; developing human resources; and enhancing tourism promotion activities through social networks.
He also underlined the need to complete transport infrastructure; develop local specific tourism models and products, clean and high-quality agriculture, and industries and handicrafts serving tourism activities; and upgrade facilities.
It is necessary to develop human resources; promote the development of education-training and health care services, and reduce poverty; accelerate administrative reform and improve the investment and business environment, and seek measures to address difficulties for businesses, he stressed.
A delegation of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam led by Ambasador Sandeep Arya paid a working trip to Hoa Binh province on April 1, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities.
