Participants listened to the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee reporting on the outcomes of the recent 10th session of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee. After that, they held group and plenary discussions of the provincial Party Committee’s draft report on the leadership over task implementation during the first nine months of 2024, along with the focal targets, tasks, and solutions for the last quarter.

They basically agreed that during the first nine months of this year, the Party organisation, administration, armed forces, businesses, and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh have promoted solidarity, reform, creativity, and political resolve to carry out many strong and comprehensive measures to implement the resolution on targets and tasks for 2024.

As a result, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) has grown about 7.11% year on year; the state budget revenue reached 4.8 trillion VND (195 million USD), equivalent to 83% of the target; while administrative reform and the investment and business climate improvement continued to be stepped up.

The province has invested efforts in tackling obstacles to key projects, properly directed the settlement of Typhoon Yagi’s aftermath and landslides, and paid attention to social and cultural issues, including the preservation and promotion of the values of ethnic groups’ traditional cultures and the Hoa Binh Civilisation. Besides, the political security and social order - safety have been firmly maintained, national defence ensured, and external activities boosted.

Officials looked into the Standing Board’s proposal on the draft detailed outline of the Political Report to be submitted to the 18th provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 tenure, as well as the draft theme of that event. They also discussed some other important issues.

Delivering the closing remarks, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, asked participants to join efforts and stay unanimous to bring into play the achievements obtained so far, along with the traditional solidarity, so as to fulfill the set tasks and targets.

To build on the results gained and address the problems and shortcomings pointed out, he requested that for the last three months, all-level authorities and sectors need to continue properly performing some duties, including guiding the implementation of the focal work programme and the examination and supervision programme for 2024, building the programmes for next year, directing the three sub-committees of the 18th provincial Party Congress to quickly carry out the assigned tasks, settling consequences of Typhoon Yagi, fruitfully carrying out the personnel work in connection with personnel preparations for the all-level Party congresses for the 2025 - 2030 tenure, and fostering the Party and political system building and rectification.
