The 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) of Hoa Binh province for the 2024-2029 tenure opened on September 28. The event drew the attendance of Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee and President of the VYF Central Committee.
Delegates of Hoa Binh included Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; former members of the Party Central Committee and former Secretaries of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Van Hon and Bui Van Tinh; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Duc Hinh; former leaders of the province in different periods; leaders of departments and sectors and other guests, as well as 225 official delegates.

In the 2019-2024 tenure, the provincial VYF Committee showed strong performance in implementing movements and activities, meeting the demand and aspirations of young people.
The federation has organised 47 activities to support 3,300 members and youngsters, while presenting 5,500 gift packages and 29 savings books with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND (122,100 USD) to the needy, organising 12 medical examination activities, and providing free medicine to 2,800 policy beneficiaries and people with contributions to the revolution.
It has implemented works within the "lighting up rural roads” programmes on more than 60km of roads with a total cost of more than 4 billion VND, while engaging in constructing 31 model rural roads, upgrading 126km of rural roads, and building 11 bridges. At the same time, more than 150 activities have been carried out to transfer technologies to nearly 10,000 members of the federation and local youngsters.
At the event, delegates clarified the outcomes of youth movements in the previous tenure, and proposed measures to better complete the federation’s tasks in the new tenure.
In the 2024-2029 tenure, the provincial VYF aims to implement 11 criteria and a number of tasks and solutions to ensure the sustainable and comprehensive development of the federation’s operations and youth movements.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Permanent Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee and President of the VYF Central Committee, hailed the efforts and achievements that officials and members of the provincial VYF and youngsters of Hoa Binh have gained so far.
He suggested the Hoa Binh VYF continue to build the model of a new generation of Hoa Binh youth with comprehensive development associated with the "Toi yeu To quoc toi” (I love my Fatherland) movement, while focusing on renovating operation methods and digital transformation, gathering and fostering solidarity among local youngsters.
Speaking at the congress, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the VYF is a pioneering force in many fields, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the provincial Party Committee in recent years.
He said that in order to continue promoting the federation’s operations and fulfil its tasks, the federation should work with the provincial HCYU Committee to enhance political and revolutionary ideological, step up moral and lifestyle education for local youngsters, and promote their patriotism and national pride as well as aspirations to build their homeland.
Delegates at the congress elected 35-members of the Hoa Binh VYF Committee for the 2024-2029 tenure. Nguyen Duy Tu, Secretary of the provincial HCYU Committee was selected as President of the VYF Committee of Hoa Binh. A delegation with 11 official and three alternate members was also selected to join the VYF National Congress in the 2024-2029 tenure.
On the occasion, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long presented a certificate of merit of the Prime Minister to Do Duy Lien, Vice President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, President of the Hoa Binh Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sao Vang Investment and Development JSC, in recognition of his outstanding performance in production, job creation and State budget payment as well as his contributions to charity activities.
During her working visit to Hoa Binh province on October 18, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan toured a site where late President Ho Chi Minh once stayed when he visited the Kim Boi district’s Party Committee. She was accompanied by officials from various ministries, agencies, and central organisations.
A ceremony was held in Kim Boi district on October 18 in the presence of Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice State President, to mark 60 years since President Ho Chi Minh visited and met with the Party Committee of Kim Boi district (September 19, 1964 - 2024) and the 65th founding anniversary of the district (April 17, 1959 - 2024), and to receive the third-class Labour Order.
Hoa Binh province’s steering board for prevention and control of corruption and other negative phenomena recently held its eighth meeting to review its activities in January - September and how to carry out key missions in the remainder of the year.

The War Veterans' Association of Hoa Binh province held the 7th "Exemplary war veterans" patriotic emulation congress, the 2024 - 2029 period, on October 16. The event was attended by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Khuat Viet Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; other leaders of the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee, representatives of departments, sectors, organisations, and localities; along with 225 exemplary delegates representing the more than 54,000 members of the association across the province.
The provincial Women's Union on October 16 held a meeting with female members of the standing board and provincial Party Committee for the 17th tenure, and female leaders from local departments and mass organisations, on the occasion of the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20). Attending the event were Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh, and others.
