A ceremony was held in Kim Boi district on October 18 in the presence of Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice State President, to mark 60 years since President Ho Chi Minh visited and met with the Party Committee of Kim Boi district (September 19, 1964 - 2024) and the 65th founding anniversary of the district (April 17, 1959 - 2024), and to receive the third-class Labour Order.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presents third-class Labour Order to cadres and people of Kim Boi district.
The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the Presidential Office Pham Thanh Ha and representatives of ministries, sectors, central agencies, and localities. Hoa Binh officials at the ceremony included Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Bui Van Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
On behalf of district leaders, Secretary of the Kim Boi Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thu said the district was established under the Prime Minister’s Decree No. 153, dated April 17, 1959, with 22 initial communes. On December 17, 2019, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 830 on the organisation of district- and communal-level administrative units in Hoa Binh province. Accordingly, Kim Boi comprises one town and 27 communes. Kim Boi, called Muong Dong in the past, is one of the four famous Muong ethnic zones in the province.
On September 19, 1964, Kim Boi proudly welcomed President Ho Chi Minh visiting and having a meeting with its Party Committee. This event was not only a source of support for the local Party Committee but also an impulse for the entire cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the district to exert efforts to move forwards.
Upholding the district’s glorious tradition and following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, local cadres and people have exerted efforts to address difficulties and promote production to fulfill the role as a solid rear for the southern frontline and successfully complete targets and political tasks, thus contributing to Hoa Binh province’s victories and development.
Kim Boi posts an economic growth rate of 14.7% and annual per capita income of 50 million VND (nearly 2,000 USD). While the household poverty rate has been brought down by over 5% each year to 12.28%, the quality of people’s life has improved considerably, Thu said.
In recognition of the district’s achievements, local cadres and people have been decorated with many noble honours, including the third-class Labour Order, he added.
In her remarks, Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan asked all-level Party committees, administrations, and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi to uphold their revolutionary tradition and the achievements obtained so far.
They need to properly perform several tasks, including studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example and style; build the Party and political system clean and strong; and properly carry out the planning of the district and its localities to serve as a basis for construction management, investment attraction, and socio-economic development.
Besides, Kim Boi should press on with capitalising on its potential and advantages in tourism and agricultural production, effectively implement the national target programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021 - 2030 period, accelerate and improve the quality of new-style countryside building and sustainable poverty reduction, and preserve and promote the cultural values of ethnic groups, especially the Muong ethnic minority, thereby contributing to a district with rich culture, prosperity, peace, and happiness.
Representing provincial leaders, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, appreciated the Vice President’s opinions. He asked Kim Boi to continue upholding its heroic tradition and stay united to develop a richer and more beautiful district.
Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General, and 15th-tenure National Assembly deputy of Hoa Binh province, visited and presented Tet gifts to poor households, workers, and students in difficult circumstances in Cao Phong district and Hoa Binh city on January 17.
The Hoa Binh provincial Military Command in collaboration with the National Defence Academy held a seminar on January 15, where they exchanged experience in local defence and military affairs with a delegation of officers, instructors, and students from the senior command and staff training course of the Royal Cambodian Army.
Hoa Binh province's delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies, including Nguyen Thi Phu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the NA’s Finance - Budget Committee, and Dang Bich Ngoc, deputy head of the delegation, visited and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to disadvantaged households in Suoi Hoa commune of Tan Lac district, poor students at the Tan Lac Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minority Students, and locals in Quynh Lam ward of Hoa Binh city on January 15.
The Hoa Binh provincial Party organisation has seriously implemented resolutions on Party building and political system construction in connection with the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW on studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, focusing on addressing issues, creating clear and substantial changes in fulfilling the political tasks of localities, agencies, and units.
The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee has held a teleconference to launch the socio-economic development and state budget plans for 2025. Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, attended and gave directions at the event, which was chaired by Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
The 17th-tenure People’s Council of Hoa Binh province, for the 2021-2026 term, convened its 24th session on January 7, during which Bui Duc Hinh was elected Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the tenure.
