(HBO) - Being an extremely difficult commune of the province, however, in recent years, Van Nghia commune (Lac Son) has undergone a remarkable transformation in socio-economic development, the life of the ethnic minorities has been clearly improved. This result has been achieved due to the direction of the Party Committee and the communal authorities, directing the political system to achieve the goals of the sustainable poverty reduction. At the same time, the commune has effectively integrated the capital sources from the ethnic programs, projects and policies to invest in the essential infrastructure, serving the people's life and support the people in developing production and diversifying the livelihood.

regular jobs for hundreds of women.
The Party
Committee and People's Committee of Van Nghia commune have always attached the
great importance to the job creation and the vocational training for employees.
Every year, the commune actively coordinates with the appropriate branches,
unions, the centers of the district vocational education, the colleges and
vocational secondary schools to organize short-term vocational training for the
people. The commune has plans for the short vocational training associated with
the development of cultivation, husbandry, and handicraft. As a result, the
percentage of trained workers in the commune has reached nearly 35%. In
addition, the commune has been focusing on leading and directing the
implementation of investment programs and projects to build and upgrade the
infrastructure. At the same time, they have been mobilizing the active
participation of the people in the construction of works serving the production
and life.
One of the
programs and projects bringing the practical effects in the commune must be
mentioned is that Program 135, which has been contributing to changing the face
of the villages. Many projects have been newly built, maintained, repaired and
put into use. They include the rural roads, the canals, the living water, the
production projects, which have been implemented, helping to improve the living
conditions of the people.
Defining
responsibilities to the Party and the People, over the past years, the Party
committees and communal authorities have been focusing on leading, directing
and creating the best conditions to help people develop their economy and
stabilize their lives, and they have arranged the resources and the investment
force in the infrastructure construction. At the same time, they have
strengthened the leadership in restructuring crops and animals, expanding
handicraft careers to create jobs. Currently, the villages are expanding to
plant trees for seed. Especially, the bamboo and rattan profession has been
creating regular jobs for about 600 employees with the average income of 3
million VND / person / month. From the development of professions, by 2020, the
average income per capita of the commune has increased to 45.8 million VND,
reaching 123% of the set plan. The rate of poor households has decreased to
15.12%.
In recent years, under the leadership of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Council, and through the concerted efforts of local Party organisations, authorities, and ethnic communities, Hoa Binh province has achieved significant progress in implementing ethnic affairs and policies. These efforts have brought a new face-lift to ethnic-minority-inhabited and mountainous areas, according to Ha Van Di, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Board of Hoa Binh province.
Hoa Binh province's association of education promotion on November 7 held a conference to review its month-long programme and present the "Hoc khong bao gio cung (endless learning)" scholarships for 2024. Key attendees included Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Le Manh Hung, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education (VAPE); and Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
