(HBO) - In the afternoon of October 7th, in Mai Chau district, the Department of Education and Training jointly organized an online handover ceremony of 300 laptops sponsored by Qualcomm through The Dariu Foundation.

At the ceremony, the representative form the Dariu Foundation handed over 300 laptops sponsored by Qualcomm to the Department of Education and Training with a view to creating more conditions for the education and training sector to carry out the task of digital transformation, continuing to innovate education abd training fundamentally and comprehensively. These are products of a new line of computers with many outstanding advantages and high performance, which are designed specifically for the education market. The highlight is that the computers are equipped with the features that can provide a stable and continuous connection to the Internet - one of the important factors helping students get acquainted with the distance learning program, and helps improve basic computer skills to succeed in online and blended learning environments at the same time.

It is known that Qualcomm has accompanied the Dariu Foundation in the program of giving laptops with the mobile network connection to the schools in Vietnam. This is a practical and meaningful activity, aiming to bring modern wireless network technology to the areas withoutt the access, and effectively contributing to improving the educational efficiency and promoting the digital transformation in education and training in Vietnam.  

Receiving 300 laptops in this batch, the leaders from the provincial Department of Education and Training sincerely thanked the sponsors, and at the same time they said: Over the past time, the Department has received the practical support such as the training support, the teacher retraining, the technical support for the teachers and the students to perfect their products… from The Dariu Foundation. As a result, the sector has initially deployed teaching computer science with Micro:Bit circuits, they have established the programming clubs, STEM clubs to the students of high and secondary schools. They have initially taught programming in Scratch Junior language for the preschool children… As for the equipment, The Dariu Foundation sponsored 400 computers, 615 smart phones, over 600 Micro:bit circuits, expansion circuits and other devices… These are the meaningful supports, actively contributing to promoting the province's education and training sector to develop in line with the development of the technology trends in the digital era of 4.0.
