The employees in Thong Nhat commune (Lac Thuy) learn about job information at a job exchange organized by the district.
Implementing the National Target Program for the sustainable poverty reduction in 2023, in October 2023, Lac Thuy District’s People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize 5 job transaction sessions in the district, attracting the participation of over 1,000 people who are employees, pupils, and students in 10 out of the 10 communes and the town. At the job exchanges, the employees were advised on the preferential regimes, the vocational training support, the preferential loan policies for the people going to work abroad in the areas of ethnic minorities, and career orientation for the employees. In particular, they also introduced jobs for the people who have completed their prison sentences and the people who have reintegrated into the community after drug rehabilitation. The businesses and employers contacted and directly interviewed the employees so that they could find the jobs suitable to their conditions, abilities and aspirations; Consulting and answering the questions and concerns of the young people about vocational training programs of vocational training establishments in the district and province, and the needs of the recruitment units.
On this occasion, there were 3 labor export enterprises inside and outside the province participated in consulting for the employees and introducing them to export labor to Korean, Japanese, and Taiwan markets. Through understanding the situation at the businesses, after opening the trading session, 4 workers registered to export to Japanese market. The special thing was that all employees registering to find jobs at the exchanges did not have to pay any transaction or referral fees.
Ms. Ha Thi Dinh in Long area, Ba Hang Doi town, participating in the job exchange held in the locality, said: I am a freelance employee. I heard that there was a job exchange so I came to look for the information. When I was advised about the requirements and incentives when exporting labor, I would take it into consideration.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van, the Vice Chairman of Lac Thuy District’s People's Committee, says: The work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, vocational training, and job creation for employees has always received the special attention from the Party committees and the local authorities at all levels. Thereby, it has gradually been improving the quality of the human resources and creating jobs for employees in the district. In 2023, 18 businesses were introduced to recruit employees to work abroad under contracts in the markets of Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, and Russia. During the year, the district created new jobs for 1,000 employees, reaching 100% of the plan; The rate of the trained employees reached 58%; The district's poverty rate has decreased to 7.5%.
Through the job exchanges, the local authorities and the mass organizations have grasped the needs and aspirations of the employees, which help clearly identify the information about labor supply and demand in the area, and contribute to the plan to create jobs in the following years. In the coming time, the district will continue to propagate and equip necessary knowledge about vocational training and employment for employees wishing to find jobs.
