(HBO) - Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, on December 22 chaired the year-end meeting of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee to give opinions on important socio-economic development issues of the province.

Attending the conference were Bui Duc Hinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; and Bui Van Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, among others.

Participants listened to and exchanged opinions on the reports of the Civil Affairs Board of the Party Committee of the provincial People's Committee on asking for the ideas of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on the Housing Development Plan in Hoa Binh in the 2021 – 2025 period, and on the project of adjusting and expanding the 1/2,000 general scale of Ba Hang Doi town and Chi Ne town in Lac Thuy district by 2030, with a vision to 2035; a draft Directive of the board on strengthening the Party’s leadership over issues related to social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance in Hoa Binh province; and the board’s draft Plan on ensuring food security and safety in the new situation in the province, along with many other important contents.

The conference also heard reports by leaders of districts and Hoa Binh city on the implementation of key projects in the province. Accordingly, delegates agreed to remove the investment project on building a new Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted in Go Mat village, Dan Chu ward and Hoa Binh city, funded by Trung Nam Construction Investment joint Stock Company, from the list of key projects.

Addressing the event, Secretary Long requested authorities, sectors and localities to focus on implementing socio-economic development tasks, the state budget estimate plan for 2023, mobilising resources to support policy beneficiaries, poor households and locals during the lunar New Year (Tet) holidays to ensure no one is left behind; and well prepare conditions to hold cultural, artistic and sports activities, and expand urban embellishment, especially in Hoa Binh city.

He agreed on the promulgation of the housing development plan, asking for increased attention to and supervision over housing projects in the province, especially social housing ones for those living in difficult circumstances, and land intensive ones in districts./.
