Storytelling and painting contests honouring President Ho Chi Minh have been held at the Hoa Binh provincial Youth Activity Centre.

The
organising committee presents awards to young participants in the 2025 "We tell
stories about Uncle Ho” contest.
The 2025 edition of the
"We tell stories about Uncle Ho” contest brought together 14 young participants
aged 7-15 from across the province. Each contestant presented a heartfelt story
about President Ho Chi Minh, highlighting his life, career, moral example, and
deep affection for children. Performances combined expressive narration with
creative visual aids.
Two first prizes were
awarded to Duong Khanh Ngan (Hoa Binh city) and Nguyen Bao Ngan (Luong Son
district). Organisers also presented three second prizes, five third prizes,
and four consolation prizes.
In parallel, the
province held a painting contest themed "Uncle Ho and children – children and
Uncle Ho”. According to the jury, entries reflected the sincere admiration of
Hoa Binh’s children for the late President, expressed through imaginative and
emotionally resonant artworks.
In the primary school
category, Yui Yoshizaki (Grade 5US, Da Hop Inter-level School, Hoa Binh city)
won first prize, while the junior secondary school category saw Nguyen Ngoc
Minh Tam (Grade 9A4, Song Da Secondary School, Hoa Binh city) took the top
award. Additional prizes included two second prizes, three third prizes, and
multiple commendation awards in each category.
The events were part of
a series of meaningful activities marking the135th birth anniversary of
President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2025).

The meeting was chaired by Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
