(HBO) – Districts and Hoa Binh city in the northern province of Hoa Binh on the morning of February 6 held ceremonies to send off 1,745 young people to military and public security service. Of the recruits, 1,500 will serve in the military.

Lac Son
district handed over the biggest number of recruits with 224, and Cao Phong
district with the lowest, 103.
Of the
total new soldiers, 13.1% have Type 1 health conditions, 57.2% with Type 2, and
29.7% with Type 3.
In
terms of age, 90.6% of them are from 19 to 21 years old.
In
terms of education, 23.1% got secondary school graduation certificates, 76.1%
with high school graduation certificates, and 0.8% with vocational training,
college, and university levels.
Regarding
political status, 6.1% of them are Party members, 17.1% are potential
candidates for Party membership, and 93.9% are members of the Ho Chi Minh
Communist Youth Union.
In particular,
16 citizens volunteered to join the army at this time.
According
to the province’s plan, in 2023, it will provide troops to five units under the
Ministry of Public Security, and 16 units under the Ministry of Defense.
Over
the past time, localities and units have well implemented the policy on support
to soldiers as authorities regularly visited, encouraged, and created
favourable conditions for young people to feel assured when joining national
construction and defense./.
The Hoa Binh provincial museum on May 16 opened a thematic exhibition "Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam" with more than 200 documents, images and objects featuring the glorious 95-year journey of the Party.
Nguyen Phi Long, alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, on May 14 chaired a meeting of the provincial steering committee for its programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing for the poor. The session reviewed the programme’s outcomes to date and discussed forthcoming tasks.
The Steering Committee for Sci-tech Development, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project 06 of Hoa Binh province held a conference on May 12 to review the 2024 results of the Public Administration Reform (PAR) Index, Citizen Satisfaction Index, and Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI). The meeting was chaired by Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
Hoa Binh city was filled with a democratic atmosphere as local authorities conducted a survey of public opinions regarding the proposal to restructure provincial and communal administrative units during late April. The survey is considered a significant step, reflecting the administration's commitment to valuing the voices of the people on a major initiative that profoundly impacts the future development of the locality.
The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee held its regular monthly meeting on April 23 to review the socio-economic situation in April and the first four months of this year, and to provide feedback on draft documents to be submitted to the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People’s Council, along with other matters related to the province’s governance. Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, chaired the event.
