(HBO) – Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh held a meeting with Resmy Rioux, Director General of the French Development Agency (AFD) and Chairman of the International Development Finance Club and Finance-in-Common Summit, on February 18. Attending the event was Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Quach Tam Liem and leaders of several departments and agencies.

Rioux thanked the provincial administration for
their warm reception to the delegation. He spoke highly of the province’s
development potential over the past years, especially in agriculture, industry
and renewable energy. He said he believes that both sides will further
strengthen their cooperative, close, and trustworthy relationship in the
future.
Khanh expressed his welcome to the AFD
delegation to the province and thanked it for investing in the Hoa Binh
hydropower plant expansion project which, he said, is an important project
contributing to local socio-economic development and expanding green and
renewable energy system in the north.
He wished that in the near future, the AFD will
continue investing in projects in the province, especially those related to
renewable energy and climate change response while assisting the locality in
training and improving the capacity of officials and civil servants.

Throughout his revolutionary life, Uncle Ho visited Hoa Binh province four times. He also sent dozens of letters, telegrams, greeting cards, and heartfelt messages to local officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups, urging them to remain united, support one another, strive for progress, and actively engage in both production and resistance efforts to build a prosperous homeland.
To unlock the full potential of its forest resources, the standing board of the provincial Party Committee on July 30, 2020 issued a Resolution on the sustainable development of production forests through 2025, with a vision toward 2030.
In recent years, the education and training sector in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, has actively integrated its tasks with the promotion of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, ethics, and style. This approach has contributed significantly to improving the overall quality of education across the district.
